PFP gives physics graduate students a chance to explore aspects of being a physicist that aren't usually the focus of graduate education, including- teaching and learning, including practical experiences & results from physics education research
- the physics community, from industry to high school to colleges to universities
- physics and society, including gender & minority issues, and physics & public policy issues
- career development, through grad school, postdoc, and beyond
